ENTRANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These conditions have been put in place to ensure the safety of all participants:

 

I understand that my registration fee including VAT is not refundable and that my place is non-transferable. If I do not take part in the event, the fee and any sponsorship money I have raised will be treated as a donation unless any of my sponsors contact United Response (ROC Welcome is part of United Response) within 14 days of the event.

 

I confirm that, to the best of my knowledge, my general state of health and fitness is good and I take full responsibility for my health and fitness to take part in the event.  If I have any doubts, I will seek medical advice before committing to take part in the event.

 

I understand that I take part in this event at my own risk.

 

I understand that I must be aged at least 11 years on race day to take part. If I am aged under 16 years, I must have full written parental consent to take part and accompanied at all times by an adult who is a registered participant of The ROC 5K.

 

I understand that I must not be under the influence of intoxicating liquids or illegal recreational drugs whilst taking part in the event. Individuals who appear to be under the influence of either alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to take part; they will be asked to leave the site/route by marshals.

 

I am aware that the route involves some residential areas and my behaviour must be considerate of the local residents. I will follow the safety advice given on the night.

 

I authorise the use of any images/ film taken during the event to be used by United Response /ROC Welcome to help publicise future activities and to raise awareness of the work of United Response/ROC Welcome in support of people with learning disabilities.

 

I understand and accept that in the event of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, the event may be postponed or cancelled and that other alterations may occur which are beyond the control of United Response /ROC Welcome. 

 

I acknowledge that United Response/ROC Welcome shall not be liable for any injury, illness or death of any person or persons nor for loss or damage to any property nor for any direct or indirect or consequential loss however arising.

 

The above does not exclude or restrict the liability of United Response /ROC Welcome for injury, illness or death arising as a direct result of any negligence or omission of United Response/ROC Welcome or its employees acting in the course of their employment.

 

I agree to raise any monies (in addition to my entry fee) using legal methods.
